Scientific Board

The Scientific Board has developed a substantive training program, STEP-ONE (Supportive Training and Essential Preparation for Optimal Nursing Education), which will be presented during the webinar. The event is aimed at trainers who will subsequently train heart failure nurses in Central and Eastern Europe and Baltic Countries.

Provincial consultant in geriatric nursing. Former member of the Board of the Heart Failure Section of the Polish Cardiac Society. Special interests: cardiovascular diseases in the elderly, frailty syndrome.

Expert in heart failure, co-author of the European heart failure guidelines (2016), co-author of many international expert papers in cardiology. Board member of the Heart Failure Association of European Society of Cardiology since 2016 (currently treasurer), the world's largest organization of heart failure experts. Special interests: iron deficiency, endocrine, metabolic, autonomic disorders in heart failure, frailty syndrome, cardiomyopathies.

Prof. Remigiusz SZCZEPANOWSKI, PhD

Psychologist
Adjunct at the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, Wroclaw Medical University. He completed scientific internships at Brown and Indiana Universities in the United States and at Bangor University in the United Kingdom. He is the author or co-author of numerous scientific publications in international and domestic journals. His research expertise and interest are psychopathology of cognition, applications of psychology in medical practice, digital and robotic technologies in nursing and health behaviours.

Currently the rector of the Medical University of Wroclaw. Ranked among the world's most influential medical scientists by Clarivate Analytics "The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds".
