Wroclaw Medical University

The Medical University of Wroclaw, named after the Silesian Piasts is a prestigious and modern medical university offering education at an international level. The University is the founding institution of the largest hospital in the region – Jan Mikulicz-Radecki University Hospital in Wroclaw.

It is a university with over 70 years of experience, offering studies in 10 faculties in Polish and 2 in English. The University has four faculties: Medicine, Medicine and Dentistry, Pharmacy and Health Sciences. “The heart” of the didactic base is the newly built Centre for Scientific Medical Information (a modern library with lecture and meeting spaces) and the Centre for Medical Simulation. The latter houses state-of-the-art medical simulators in historic interiors of a 19th century building. At the University, students have at their disposal a well-equipped infrastructure, many new laboratories, among others: those forming part of the modern complex of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Borowska Street. Candidates for doctors, nurses, midwives and paramedics gain practical skills at the University Hospital. Wroclaw Medical University is very active in the scientific field and in the implementation of clinical research.
