educardio

Educational Platform
Heart Disease Center

Dear Colleagues,

we would like to welcome you at our website designed for educational events to be carried out in the form of traditional, hybrid and virtual meetings by the Center for Heart Diseases, Wroclaw Medical University and University Hospital in Wroclaw.

The COVID-19 pandemic has not only strained health services worldwide, but has also hampered dialogue and communication between experts and postgraduate education in the medical community. The most prestigious cardiology congresses have moved to the virtual reality, and travel restrictions have made direct cooperation and networking difficult, in particular international cooperation, where Polish cardiologists have been and are widely involved and recognized for many years.

Regardless of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our patients with cardiovascular disease (including those with heart failure) require uninterrupted and professional care.

We are witnessing the dynamic development of cardiology, cardiac surgery and related cardiovascular sciences, and we ourselves contribute to these achievements. Novel, often ground-breaking data in the field of pharmacological, invasive and surgical treatment of cardiovascular diseases require an international expert discussion, popularization of knowledge among healthcare professionals and education of patients and their families.

Discussions and exchange of expert opinions are especially important now, while waiting for the new European Society of Cardiology guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, to be announced and published in August 2021.

Therefore, we cordially invite you to participate in the educational events organized in Wroclaw. On the website educardio.umed.wroc.pl, you will find archival materials from expert meetings already organized (with educational materials for further use), information and materials about currently performed educational programs, and invitations for expert fora planned in the future.

With best regards,

Professor Piotr Ponikowski, MD, PhD

Professor Ewa A. Jankowska, MD, PhD
